You must never escalate a fight unless your enemy forces you to.
And you must never reveal your identity to anybody.

THE PERSONALITY - VIRTUOSO (ISTP-T)

I wanted to live the life, a different life. I didn’t want to go to the same place every day and see the same people and do the same job. I wanted interesting challenges.

Optimistic and Energetic – Virtuosos are usually up to their elbows in some project or other. Cheerful and good-natured, people with the Virtuoso personality type (especially Assertive ones) rarely get stressed out, preferring to go with the flow.

Creative and Practical – Virtuosos are very imaginative when it comes to practical things, mechanics, and crafts. Novel ideas come easily, and they love using their hands to put them into action.

Spontaneous and Rational – Combining spontaneity with logic, Virtuosos can switch mindsets to fit new situations with little effort, making them flexible and versatile individuals.

Know How to Prioritize – This flexibility comes with some unpredictability, but Virtuoso personalities are able to store their spontaneity for a rainy day, releasing their energy just when it’s needed most.

Great in a Crisis – With all this hands-on creativity and spontaneity, it’s no wonder that Virtuosos are naturals in crisis situations. People with this personality type usually enjoy a little physical risk, and they aren’t afraid to get their hands dirty when the situation calls for it.

Relaxed – Through all this, Virtuosos are able to stay quite relaxed. They live in the moment and go with the flow, refusing to worry too much about the future.

-

Stubborn – As easily as Virtuosos go with the flow, they can also ignore it entirely, and usually move in another direction with little apology or sensitivity. If someone tries to change Virtuosos’ habits, lifestyle or ideas through criticism, they can become quite blunt in their irritation.

Insensitive – Virtuosos use logic, and even when they try to meet others halfway with empathy and emotional sensitivity, it rarely seems to quite come out right, if anything is even said at all.

Private and Reserved – Virtuoso personalities are notoriously difficult to get to know. They are true introverts, keeping their personal matters to themselves, and often just prefer silence to small talk.

Easily Bored – Virtuosos enjoy novelty, which makes them excellent tinkerers, but much less reliable when it comes to focusing on things long-term. Once something is understood, Virtuosos tend to simply move on to something new and more interesting.

Dislike Commitment – Long-term commitments are particularly onerous for Virtuosos. They prefer to take things day-by-day, and the feeling of being locked into something for a long time is downright oppressive. This can be a particular challenge in Virtuosos’ romantic relationships.

Risky Behavior – This stubbornness, difficulty with others’ emotions, focus on the moment, and easy boredom can lead to unnecessary and unhelpful boundary-pushing, just for fun. Virtuosos have been known to escalate conflict and danger just to see where it goes, something that can have disastrous consequences for everyone around if they lose control of the situation.

the story.

Let's start at the top. Jason - Introverted 'cool' guy. To some, a reckless greaser - to others, a complete ass. He can almost always be seen wearing a Superman tee. Reason being, he was always a fan of the cheesy hero - but, as a kid - he was a role model as to who he wanted to be when he grew up. Someone like Clark - especially since his father was always out of the picture. His mother - who cared for him for a solid fifteen years - died of cancer. The accident is still fresh, and her brain meshed with memories from the past.

Jason - why don't you ever wear that T-Shirt I got you anymore? The Superman one?
"Mom - I can't wear that anymore. It's too small. Besides - I'm not into that stuff anymore."
Ah... is it? I'll buy you some new ones. I know how you are - You grew up so fast, but I know you better than anyone.
My little Superman.

A few days past and Jason's mother adhered to her promise - yet, it wasn't long after the tumor in her brain took over her kind heart.

He was adopted into his father's side of the family - the grandparents took care of him like he was their own. They lived in Blue Bay Harbor, where Jason has gone to school for a year and a half. He mourned properly, but he swore to himself that he would wear one of the twelve shirts his mother got him every single day as a reminder of who he wanted to be, and who he wanted to make proud.

But, this was all before.
This is just the beginning.

INVICTUS; THE CALM BEFORE THE STORM.

School's tough. Especially when you're a part-time superhero. His GPA hasn't been doing too hot, but he's been having the luxury of meeting many other heroes, even his iconic hero. But that peace doesn't last. It never does. So, do what you will with that time, because sooner or later, something will try and rip that from you. During this peace, Jason had a feeling in his chest that something was coming. Something big. And soon - but, he had plenty of things to distract him from worrying about it until it came. Fortunately, he was seeing his hero, Supergirl. Formally - too. As in dating. For a little bit, anyway. It's kind of complicated, especially when you're both always doing something else and never have time for each other. It didn't last very long.

How did he meet her? Well... Let's just say Jason was visiting National City and he couldn't get himself out of trouble. He met a "Speedster" as Kara put it; someone who obtained the power of what they called the "Speed force". Apparently, Jason's heart pumps nearly a hundred times faster than the average human due to the lightning coursing in his veins, and the speedster mistook it as this "speed force". However, in the process of trying to drain him of that power that wasn't there, it sparked something inside him.

Because of this first impression, however, while he did wind up training with Supergirl, and they often went together on missions - he'd often get irritated at the way she tried to protect him as if he couldn't stand on his own two feet. He was a Man. Sure, he was human, but his hubris wouldn't allow her to show such contempt.

Though - before everything, he honestly wished that he ended on good terms. Even if she doesn't see it the way he does, he blames himself and his ego for breaking things off. But that's in the past. Forward, only. Onward. Forever.

His single life didn't last very long, however. Upon visiting Japan, they were struck with more Alien invaders - which the Superpowered country just assumed was their average "Quirked" citizens. But, these folks were armed and very dangerous. Their goals were to obliterate and destroy. Jason couldn't have that. During that time, however, he met one of these "heroes"; folks who used their inherited powers to grow ever stronger. To become people's hope. Ranger form - he leads. However, there was someone who tried to keep up. A high-school student, just like him. And someone who didn't underestimate them, despite not knowing what "Quirk" they did (or didn't) bear. The girl was quick, and she packed more of a punch than the Aliens could expect. It impressed Jason. He didn't know her name - so he resorted to calling her "Green bean" - in the best Japanese he could, of course - during battle. Their coordination was nearly comparable to that of his best friend; they read each other's moves and that allowed them to achieve victory.

Under secrecy, this is the one person he revealed his identity to. Because he felt that heart of hers was pure. He shattered a rule for her. And he hoped to fight alongside her some time.

INVICTUS; THE THOUSAND YEAR STORM.

Jupiter was their landing point. Invictus. A war breaks - and he and Makoto were sent as soldiers to do the dirty work versus some of the most terrifying beings in the galaxy. Apart, however, the two were strong. Together, they were an unstoppable weapon. But, they aren't invincible. Through the rage of his comrade being knocked unconscious, Jason unlocked his "SPEED FORCE" and, utilizing the storm of Jupiter, he struck down the target on Jupiter; his Thousand Year Strom. Against one beast, Jason was left incapacitated for the remaining battles. It was unfortunate.

He allowed Mako full control of the zord; their undying trust.

INVICTUS; THE AFTERSHOCK.

. . . It's been days. He found himself home; his Power Coin bringing him from the risk of death into his bed, healing slowly over time. Unfortunately, that meant his Grandparents found out - and the shock of his wounds and the anxiety that was brought before them was - well it was too much for them. He found them dead inside his home. To make matters worse, the expunge of power that Jason has wreaked havoc with - well, it was gone. Only a tiny fraction remained inside of him. Temporary. Upon reaching the Headquarters - well, he found Makoto's coin. His best friend's coin - the coin that he never left behind.

It was guided into his hands; shattered and cracked, but still true. It was healing. Just as Jason was.
Don't worry. We'll heal together.

He left Invictus.

THUNDER AND LIGHTNING ; DOCILE LIGHTNING.

Much of his time was spent mourning or with Izuku, who was his only source of true happiness at this point. Everything felt like it was just - crashing down on him. The weight of the entire world. With the help of both of the coins, Jason was able to regain some of his power and finally be able to Ranger Form again. The suit was a mess, and it still needed time to heal.

He felt useless. But - in that time of healing, Makoto's coin vibrated. Did it find a new master? Already?
He followed the tug, the pull. Its motion was strong, but it wasn't as strong as Jason was. To the Diner. The diner that Makoto and Jason always hung out in. The one where they caught up on homework in, or talked about girls, or just ate. It was a special place. And there - there in that exact spot sat his best friend. It was his face. It was his body. However, as he went up to hug him, he could feel the change of death.

He wasn't the same. He had his best friend's face, but it wasn't his best friend anymore.
He didn't know who it was.

THUNDER AND LIGHTING ; CHARGING UP A STORM.

The two still wound up working together - they were on the same team, after all. However, Jason wound up working alongside the Wind Rangers more than he did with Makoto. It just didn't feel the same, and it wasn't as if they were really a team anymore. It was just the memory of it. They only met during a battle and occasionally during school.

Then one day, Makoto texted him, asking to hang. Unfortunately, he couldn't - he was on his way out of the states. But, he promised to when he got back. Maybe this was hope - maybe his best friend... maybe he was back.

The show.

... Solos and SLs tba.

Everyone has a phone nowadays.

I got one too.

Makoto Takahashi. Ally and quick friend. Nearly a polar opposite of Jayce. While Jayce was rash and reckless - yet strong, Mako was the brains against the brawn. The strategist - the one with an answer for everything. That's not to say Mako is weak in his own right - he isn't. Met at the academy, Jason first thought they would be rivals. No, they were much more.

They were brothers.
Together, unstoppable.

Izuku Midoriya. A charming young lady who stole his heart. Don't be fooled by that soft-looking freckled face - he sure as hell was. This girl puts 10x the effort that anyone does. She's a "hero" in her own right, and she aims for the skies. Her mind is pure, and her heart is full.

Jason will do anything to help her keep it that way.
I love you.
